Spent a week working on shooting three videos with several Limerick bands.
The first shoot was with Hermitage Green in the lobby of the new Irish Music Dance building in the University of Limerick. It was great to get all the guys I worked with in the Gibson Friary session together again. Everybody knew instinctively what to do and the whole thing went off with ease.
The second shoot was with Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters. We got the audience to shoot the band when they performed their track ‘Fight The Grey’ at their gig upstairs in Dolans. I was quite surprised at the amount of people who filmed. It was great working with the Fox Jaw lads as they are very creative people. During the song they took it upon themselves to film the audience which I thought was a touch of brilliance.
The third shoot was with The Hip-Neck Blues Collective in Dolans Warehouse. Like with Hermitage Green it was very easy working with the band as they were used our workflow. All the band have a real good fun energy and are great to be around. When we were not laughing we got the job done. Dolans was a perfect location and I would certainly like to do something there again.
All in all it was a great week working with some talent people. I look forward to working with them again. Now to lock myself off from the world to start the long editing process.
